Ring of fire
Setup:
To set up Ring of fire (also known as Circle of Death) place
a large cup or glass in the centre of the table. Place the 52 playing cards face
down in a circled around the cup, making sure they are all touching.
Gameplay:
To start the game, the first player draws a card from the
deck and carries out the rule associated with the card. The card rules are as
follows:
Ace – Waterfall: The player who picked up the card must
start downing their drink. Everyone else must follow. You must continue to down
your drink until the person to the right of you stops. The person to the right
can only stop after the person to the right of them has stopped. This starts
with the player who picked up the card, they are the first to stop when they
choose. Only then can the next player stop drinking.
Two - You: Choose another player to have a drink with you.
Three - Me: The player who draws a Three must take a drink.
Four - Wh*res: All females must take a drink.
Five – Thumb master: The player who draws a Five can place
their thumb on the edge of the table whenever they choose. All other players
must copy, the last player to copy must drink. The player who draws the Five can
do this as many times as they choose, until another Five is drawn. At this point
the rule passes to the new player who drew Five.
Six – D*cks: All males must drink.
Seven – Heaven: The player who draws a Seven can put their
arm in the air whenever they choose. All other players must copy, the last
player to copy must drink. The player who draws the Seven can do this as many
times as they choose, until another Seven is drawn. At this point the rule
passes to the new player who drew Seven.
Eight - Mate: The player who draws an Eight must pick
another player to be their mate. This means the chosen player must drink every
time the player who drew Eight is required to drink.
Nine – Rhyme: The player says a word, and then each player
in the circle must say a word that rhymes with it. The first player who can't
think of a word must take a drink.
Ten – Categories: The player chooses a category, such as
"Types of cars," and then each player in the circle must say an item
from that category. The first player who can't think of an item must take a
drink.
Jack - Rule: The player who draws a Jack must make a rule
that all players must follow until the end of the game. Anyone who breaks the
rule must take a drink.
Queen – Question master: Whenever the player who drew the
Queen asks another player a question and the other player answers, then the
other player must drink. This carries on until a new Queen is drawn by a player,
at this point it passes to that player.
King – King cup: The player who draws a King must pour some
of their drink into the cup in the center of the table. The player who draws
the fourth King must drink the entire cup.
End of Game:
The game continues until all the cards have been drawn and
the kings cup has been consumed. The kings cup is drank by a player who draws
the 4th king or by a player who breaks the circle. This means that,
whilst drawing a card, they caused the cards in the circle to no longer touch.
Pyramid
Objective:
The aim of the game is to avoid revealing face cards (J, Q,
K, or A) and assign drinks to other players based on the row the card came
from.
Setup:
1. Each player must grab a drink. Now arrange the deck of
cards in a pyramid shape, face down, with a row of five cards at the base,
followed by a row of four cards, then three, two, and finally one card at the
top.
Gameplay:
1. Decide on a player to start. This
first player begins the game by choosing a card from the base of the pyramid
and flipping it face up.
2. If the card revealed is a face card (J, Q, K, or A), then
the player assigns a drink to another player or players based on the row the
card came from. For example, if a face card from the third row is revealed, the
player can choose someone to drink three sips. If the card revealed was a
number card, then nobody drinks.
3. Continue going taking it in turns
amongst the group of players, until eventually the top row has been reached.
4. Rearrange the cards into the
pyramid ready for another round.
